Quick Natural Remedies against Puffy Eyes

Puffy Eyes:

Symptoms to look for: 

• Irritation in eyes
• Heightened sensitivity to light
• Bloodshot eyes

Causes:

• Sleep deprivation
• Excess TV or computer use
• Excessive reading
• Crying
• Excess alcohol consumption
• High salt content in diet

Natural home remedy using tea bags:

1. Take two black tea bags
2. Place them in a cup of hot water for 3 – 5 min
3. Remove the bags and place them in a saucer
4. Cover the tea bags with a plastic wrap & place them in the refrigerator for about 20 min
5. Remove the cooled down tea bags and place them on your eyes
6. Make sure that the tea bags are not excessively cold.
7. Stretch back and relax for 20-30 min

• Frozen tea bags not just soothe the puffiness but also leaves your eyes feeling fresh

Natural home remedy using egg:

1. Take 1 egg white in a bowl
2. Apply the egg white under your eyes using your fingers
3. Allow it to dry for about 15 minutes 
4. Rinse well with warm water
• Egg white is an astringent, which helps to tighten pores thereby 
reducing the puffiness.

Natural home remedy using cucumber:

1. Cut a potato or a cucumber into thin slices
2. Sprinkle some cold water around your eye
3. Lying down, place the slices on your eyelids and leave in place for at least 10 minutes for best results

• Raw potato or cucumber slices help tighten baggy and puffy eyes. 

Tips:

• Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday
• Avoid excess salty foods
• Avoid alcohol
• Sleep well
