6 Essential Nail-Art Tools

6 Essential Nail-Art Tools
Think only the pros have the right tools for great nail art? Look around your house
Straw: Dip the rim into metallic polish, then press all over each nail for a mermaid’s tail effect.

Bobby Pin: You don’t need a special “dotting” tool. Use the tip of a bobby pin to plop polka dots onto your polish.

Paper Towel: The simplest way to fake a snakeskin pattern? Dip the corner of a paper towel into polish, then gently dab it onto the nails. (Think of it like sponge painting.)

Tape: Use slivers as guides for stripes or to create color blocks.

Glitter: Mix with clear enamel or dust it over wet polish for instant sparkle.

Sandwich Bag: Lightly stipple it on top of still-wet polka dots to make your nails look marbled
